There is no mug in the Chinese history; we added the heritage of the Chinese culture to the mug which is general in the modern times. In the past, Chinese had the concept of the round sky and the square ground.
Therefore, we nominated the round cup as “Cup of sky”, and the square cup as “Cup of earth”. This pair of cups also signifies the “eternity” which is quite appropriate to give the friends or the couple as the present.
The line which is as stable as Taishan Mountain is presented below the surface of the cup. This kind of line is quite often applied to the Traditional Chinese antiques, such as the Chinese style buildings, the containers, the offerings.
